The odd part
A government-backed cab service that brings the efficiency of the local RTO to your doorstep.
What happened
To compete with private aggregators, the government has launched the 'Bharat Taxi' app as part of its 2026 digital overhaul. In a move to ensure 'maximum safety and accountability,' riders are required to link their Aadhaar, PAN, and current property tax receipts before booking a cab. The app features a unique 'File Processing' status where a driver only accepts your ride after his supervisor's digital signature is verified, often ensuring that while your ride is 'reliable,' it arrives precisely three business days after you needed it.
