The odd part

A 35-foot bridge standing in the middle of a private farm, successfully crossing a patch of grass while avoiding the inconvenience of actual roads.

What happened

Bihar has achieved a global first in sustainable infrastructure: a 3-crore bridge in Araria that is entirely eco-friendly because no vehicles can actually reach it. Built in the middle of a lush open field under the Chief Minister Gramin Sadak Scheme, the bridge serves as a monument to administrative optimism. The department managed to acquire the exact rectangular plot for the bridge but forgot to buy the long, thin strips known as 'roads.' Local villagers now use the structure as a high-altitude selfie point, marveling at the engineering genius that prioritized the crossing before the path, essentially inventing the 'teleportation-ready' infrastructure of the future.
