The odd part

A desert road built with Kerala's monsoon drainage because the consultant's 'Ctrl+C' was working better than their brain.

What happened

Residents in Bikaner's arid landscape were surprised to find their new L1-bid flyover features 12-foot deep monsoon drains and emergency lifebuoy stations. An audit revealed the project consultant used a 'Detailed Project Report' template originally designed for the Kerala backwaters to save on planning costs. The contractor defended the design, stating it proactively prepares Rajasthan for the next 'Great Flood' expected in approximately 4 million years, making it the most forward-thinking project in the state.
