The odd part

Fraudsters have achieved the 'Digital India' dream of 100% connectivity by successfully 'digitally arresting' more citizens in 24 hours than the actual police force has managed in a decade.

What happened

The Press Information Bureau has issued a frantic warning against 'Digital Arrest' scams involving fake BSNL and TRAI notices. While the government struggles to install 5G towers in rural areas, scammers have managed to reach every single citizen's smartphone to inform them they are under 'virtual house arrest.' Citizens are reportedly confused as to why the scammers' customer service is more responsive and technologically advanced than the actual BSNL helpline, leading to calls for the scammers to be outsourced for official government IT projects.
