A 370-crore 'airport-like' terminal designed specifically to keep buses and passengers safely separated by a 10-kilometer buffer zone.
In a visionary move to redefine public transport, the Nayta Mundla ISBT in Indore has successfully completed six months of operations without the nuisance of actual buses. Built at a cost of ₹370 crore to resemble a swanky airport, the terminal offers passengers the unique 'Vande Bharat Trekking' experience—where they arrive at the terminal only to realize their bus is actually departing from a roadside tea stall 12 kilometers away. Local authorities have praised the project for its 'minimalist' approach to traffic, noting that the absence of vehicles significantly reduces the wear and tear on the expensive flooring.
