Proving that eradicating extreme poverty is easy when you simply ask the Supreme Court to pay your bills.
What happened
Days after a massive ad campaign bragging about the 'Kerala Model' and the total eradication of poverty, the state government rushed to the Supreme Court in a panic. The 'marvel' of governance revealed that while the citizens are doing great on paper, the state treasury is so empty it qualifies for its own welfare scheme. The Supreme Court observed that the state is basically a billionaire living in a rented house who hasn't paid the landlord in six months.
