What happened
The Akal Takht—Sikhism's highest temporal authority—formally declared Mann 'Guru Dokhi' (enemy of the Guru) after its Jathedar cited findings from two government-certified forensic labs confirming the viral video was authentic, neither AI-manipulated nor doctored, despite the Chief Minister's personal assurance that the person on screen did not match his height or physique. This creates a reasonably unprecedented situation: a Chief Minister who made sacrilege a life-imprisonment offence has now been declared his religion's arch-offender by an institution whose authority he notionally respects, on the basis of science his government nominally funds. The entire Punjab Cabinet has been summoned to appear before the Akal Takht on June 29 regarding both the video matter and the anti-sacrilege bill itself, which the clergy is upset was passed without consulting them first. Mann insists he was not in the video. The laboratories insist the video was not edited. The Cabinet appearance is scheduled for the 29th.
