What happened
Jitendra Kumar Jingar, a traditional footwear artisan in Gudamalani, Balotra, says he has no Tamil Nadu business and no export firm, but his bank account was frozen after a Rs 6.78 crore GST recovery notice. The Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes Department notice names Shri Shivam Exports, and local officials suspect his PAN and identity documents were misused to create a fake firm in Krishnagiri. Jingar says he earns Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 a month and was building a single-room house under PMAY when the notice landed. The system was confident enough to freeze the account; it was apparently less curious about whether the alleged export empire lived in a one-room housing-scheme plot.
