The odd part
A government committee created to investigate why government officials are still using government police as personal servants.
What happened
In a move that defines bureaucratic peak performance, the Tamil Nadu government has formed district-level committees to ensure that senior police officials stop using their subordinates as household help. Because apparently, a clear legal ban isn't enough; we now need a bi-monthly committee meeting to confirm that a Sub-Inspector isn't currently walking a DIG's poodle or shopping for groceries. It is the only place in the world where a 'crackdown' involves checking if an officer is holding a rifle or a spatula.
